2011 OJAS State Meeting

 

It is time to think about judging at the OJAS state meet this year.  Judging will begin with student papers being available to read at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 in room 123 P&ES on the East Central University campus in Ada.  The students will begin their oral presentations at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Presentations will continue until around 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. and then continue on Friday morning, if there are enough contestants in that group.  The groups are Senior High Physical Science, Junior High Physical Science, Senior High Biological Sciences, and Junior High Biological Sciences.  After judges have heard all presentations and read their papers, each group of judges makes the decisions for awards.  Usually that occurs during mid-morning to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25.  Rahmona has reserved rooms (2 judges / room) Thursday night at the La Quinta in Ada. Brunch, lunch, and dinner will be provided on Thursday.  La Quinta has breakfast as part of the room charges, so only lunch will be provided on Friday.  The basic cost to you is your travel to and from Ada.
