If you are presenting a paper at the Annual Technical Meeting of the Academy, please consider publishing its abstract in the Academy’s next volume of the Proceedings of the Oklahoma Academy of Science. 

The deadline for abstract submission is October 15th .  There is an abstract publication fee of $35.

Two steps are required to submit an abstract:

1.      Mail a printed (hard) copy of your abstract and include a $35 check made out to OAS to:

You may use Pay Pal, but please notify Dr. Bass by e-mail that you used Pay Pal to pay for the publication charge.

2. Attach an electronic copy of your abstract as described below and e-mail it to POAS Editor, Dr. Mostafa S. Elshahed at Mostafa@okstate.edu

For all other questions, contact Dr. Elshahed.  To ease the processing of the technical meeting abstracts for publication in the Proceedings, please format your abstract heading using the guide below, or refer to the most recent issue (Vol.89, 2009) of the Proceedings. 

It would be helpful if authors would prepare abstracts using Times New Roman (or similar) font and 12-point font size.

Abstract that are not properly formatted will be returned for correction.

TITLE (BOLD, ALL CAPS).  Author(s) (bold, lower case). Address(es) (non-bold, lower case).

For multiple authors with multiple addresses, footnote the names and addresses. Then skip a line and begin the abstract text. Also, please note this may be paid by PayPal by going to the Abstract Publication / Handling Fee page.
